Kae has started preschool! He is so excited. For a week before school started he would ask me, "Is it Tuesday yet, Momma?" He knew he was starting school on Tuesday so Tuesday could not come fast enough. The first day was just an hour to get used to school. Kae had a blast but he was disappointed it wasn't long enough to have snack time. Thursday school was the full 2.5 hours that it will be for the rest of the year. Kae loves school. He has told me about the fun of playing with sand outside, reading stories in circle time and singing songs.

Kae is 3!
For Kae's 3rd birthday we had a string of parties. The first party took place while he was in chicago visiting with family. (see previous post for details)
Saturday, August 15th we had Kae's birthday party with his friends. We had it at one of the outdoor pools in our town. The day was overcast and a bit cooler than we were planning for but the kids still had a great time swimming in the heated water. The weather kept most of the other people away so we ended up having the whole pool to ourselves. The party had a football theme at Kae's request. I made him a football shaped birthday cake. We also had pizza and apples, also Kae's picks. Everyone had a great time!
One day, in the middle of the week between Kae's party and his actual birthday, we had a bunch of presents arrive in the mail. We had a lunch picnic in the yard and opened the presents. (The boys had spent the morning playin in the sprinkler. That's why they aren't wearing clothes.)
August 21st was Kae's actual birthday. In the morning Kae and his playgroup toured the local fire station. They got to see the whole station and climb all over the trucks. In the evening we had a family party and gave him the gifts from Mommy & Daddy and Nonna & Poppi.
