We tried hiking as a family a few months ago but we bit off more then we could chew and ended up having to carry the boys. This time we tried a 1.3 mile loop without a lot of elevation gain. We didn't take any kid-carrying packs so the boys had to walk the whole way. They did great!

We did have to stop and rest a few times. Izee had to stop and check his map,

we all took a snack break in the middle of the hike,

and, of course, we took a few picture breaks too.
