The first snow of the season was a big one. We got about a foot of snow! The boys loved it. They helped me shovel, cleaned my car and wrestled in the snow. Then we went inside for hot cocoa.

Miller Farms
We went to miller farms for our annual family fun day on the farm.
We started with a little bouncing and playing on the fire truck.
It was a cold Monday morning at the farm so we ended up getting a private hayride.
We got lots and lots of veggies.
Seriously, LOTS of veggies!
As always, it was a super fun farm day!

Surgery & Popsicles
Kae had surgery about a week and a half ago. He had ear tubes put in and his adenoids taken out.
Kae was actually excited about surgery because last time he got 3 popsicles when he woke up. He was excited to have more popsicles. Children's Hospital lets the kids bring a toy with them. Blue Baby joined Kae on this adventure.
The TVs weren't working so Kae colored while he was waiting for surgery. Blue Baby just watched.
Last time he had tubes put in Mommy went into the operating room with him and stayed with him until he was asleep. This time he wanted Nonna to go with him.
Kae was slow to wake up from his anesthesia. (Probably because he was so tired from waking up at 6am to get to the hospital on time.) When he woke up he still had his IV in. Kae and Blue Baby even had matching bandages.
Once Kae finished waking up, we headed home. (That's a popsicle in the cup in his hand.)
Once we got home, I got Kae and Blue Baby settled on the couch for a movie and another popsicle.
Kae is done with his medicines and is back to full speed. Both Kae and Blue Baby did great with surgery and the recovery. They are so brave!

School Fun
The school year is in full swing. Both boys love school!
Kae's kindergarten class went on their first field trip on the school bus. Kae was equal parts excited about the field trip to the zoo and excited about the bus ride. When Kae's class finished their first learning unit they celebrated with a party. It was a Johnny Appleseed party so the kids got to dress as Johnny Appleseed complete with pots on their heads. At the party they painted, did a worksheet, decorated caramel apples and ate lots of apple themed snacks.Kae is even enjoying homework. He just started having homework and he loves showing me what he has learned in school.
Izee loves school. He goes to preschool 2 mornings a week. He asks everyday if he gets to go to school today. His school's big fundraiser is a jog-a thon. Izee did awesome! First, he stretched. Then he ran. He 12 laps in 10 minutes! Finally he got some water and a popsicle to rehydrate.Preschool doesn't typically have homework but Izee did get to make an "All About Me" poster.

Activities
Kae has been in karate for about a year now. He just got promoted to a high orange belt. (He is doing so good that he skipped his orange belt.)He is so tough! And super excited about his new belt.
Izee is not old enough for karate yet but I found an activity for him that he is old enough for, Gymnastics. He loves it! It is perfect for a little monkey like Izee.
