Christmas Morning

We had a wonderful Christmas! G.G. Dorlis visited us for a few days. She stayed at Nonna's and Poppi's so we all stayed at Nonna's & Poppi's house Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Santa did great! Kae got his kitchen and his dinosaur from Santa. Santa got Izee a tee ball set and a football. Here are some pictures from Chrsitmas Day.

Holiday Hoopla

The Howell family has had a fun and busy holiday season. We did all our traditional activities.

(One of our holiday traditions is matching Christmas PJs for the boys.)

Tree Decorating
We put our Christmas tree up right after Thanksgiving. The boys both loved the tree. It was hard for them to look and not touch it. Each of the boys get a new ornament each year. Kae got a "Finding Nemo" ornament and Izee got a baseball ornament.

Santa Visit
Kae was very excited to see Santa this year. We practiced for a few days and Kae told Santa that he wants a "kitchen and a dinosaur". Izee, on the other hand, was terrified of Santa. He grabbed onto Daddy and screamed when he first saw Santa. Daddy decided to sit down next to Santa with Izee and this seemed okay with Izee. Kae took good care of his little brother and asked Santa to bring him a ball.

Holiday Lights
Every year Longmont does holiday lights in the park. Santa sky dives in, there are fire pits to warm up, train rides around the park and hot cocoa and muffins. This year there was also airplanes and a Santa's workshop filled with crafts and toys. The boys really enjoyed seeing the real live reindeer and getting paper reindeer antlers.

Christmas Programs
Now that Kae is 3 he goes to preschool and Sunday school. Both of these schools had Christmas programs. At preschool the kids sang a few songs and then we had some cookies and juice. In the Christmas program at church the little ones were sheep. (The program was called, "hang onto your hat" so the costumes were white hats that kids got to decorate with cotton balls.) They sang a couple songs and then they got to come back and sit with their parents. Both of the programs were absolutely adorable!

Zoo Lights
Last but not least was our annual trip to zoo lights. The Denver zoo does a huge display of lights. You can also go inside and see some the animals and warm up for a bit. Of course we also needed some hot chocolate to help us stay warm. We had a great time and the boys loved seeing all the lights and really liked seeing the elephants too.
