Rhythm on the River 2010

Rhythm on the River was July 10th. Here are some pics from the festival:

(Kae got a fire breathing dragon painted on his face.)

(Izee got a dragon painted on his face too.)

(Rhythm on the River had lots of crafts for the kids to do. Both of the boys were really excited about making bug houses. Izee is holding his bug house kit and waiting patiently for Daddy to help him build.)

(Kae is helping Daddy tighten the door down on his bug house.)

(I love this picture. My boys are so cute! This is Daddy helping both boys build their bug houses.)

Izee is 2!

Our little firecracker turned 2 on the 4th of July!

We had a picnic in the backyard at Nonna & Poppi's house. (We were going to go to a park but the weather was iffy.) After we ate, Izee opened his presents.
Kae has a hooded bug towel he uses when we go swimming. Mommy and Daddy got Izee a hooded fish towel for his birthday.
Nonna and Poppi got Izee a motorized 4 wheeler. He had a blast riding around the block!

That evening we had birthday cake before heading to the fireworks. Izee got a teddy bear cake that was red white and blue. Izee blew out his candles on the first try!We watched the fireworks from the car because it was raining. We were a bit squished but everyone enjoyed the fireworks.
A few days later we had a birthday playdate at the pool with Izee's friends and some baseball cupcakes.

Sport Clinics

We have been having so much fun this summer! This would usually be a couple different posts but I'm going to combine them to catch our readers up on our summer so far.

Kae is big enough for sports now! This is very exciting for him. Since he is only 3, he is not on a sports team but instead in sports clinic. In June he took T-ball. He learned how to throw, catch, hit and run the bases. He had a great time! This July he is taking Soccer. Today was his first class. They are teaching them to kick, stop the ball without touching it, and run.Sports clininc can be tough on a little brother who isn't old enough to play. So after sports, we usually head to the local pool for a picnic and some swimming.
