Food, Family & Fun

We had a big Thanksgiving this year with lots of family. We had the 4 of us, Nonna & Poppi, Grandma & Grandpa, Aunt Ashley & Cousin Adelaide, and Uncle Ethan and Jenny.

The 3 cousins had a great time playing together all week.

On Monday we took them to the Zoo.
Tuesday was sunny and nice so the kids played outside.

Wednesday was a bit cooler outside and a great day for the kids to do some crafts inside. They made potato turkey center pieces and place cards.
The crafts made the table beautiful!
On Thanksgiving there was lots of cooking and carving.
The turkey put Uncle Ethan and Jenny right to sleep. :)

Happy Thanksgiving

Today is Thanksgiving. I am thankful for my wonderful husband and 2 beautiful boys. For Thanksgiving I am sharing some pics and videos from Kae's Thanksgiving performance at preschool last week.

In the play Kae was the turkey. You ca also see a picture of Kae in his turkey "costume" below. After the play they sang some songs. This is my favorite of their songs (Kae is on the far end in the brown shirt.):

After the performance we had cookies and Kae showed me the potato turkey he made.

Budding Photographer

We got a new camera a few weeks ago so I let the kids play with the old camera. Izee had a great time playing with it. I took a bunch of pictures of him taking pictures. Here are a few of my favorites:

Family Photos

I love all the colors of fall so we took pictures in the Park about a week ago. First I took pics of the boys in the leaves.
Then we took some family pics. We took them ourselves with a tripod and self timer. I didn't want boring family pictures so we tried to do some creative poses. Here is the best shot from each pose. (The last one is my favorite from the day.)

Happy Halloween

Does anyone else remember when Halloween was just 1 day? This year we had celebrations for 4 straight days!

Thursday Kae wore his costume to school for a party. He was Buzz Lightyear.

Friday we celebrated Halloween at my office. Each department picks a theme. We picked Toy Story and decided to also incorporate a toy drive into our theme. We all dressed up as different toys and decorated our department like Andy's room. I dressed up as the toy blocks.

Saturday our town had a Halloween parade. I had to work that morning but Daddy and the boys went to the parade. They also had a Toy Story theme for their stroller. My little dudes LOVE Toy Story. This year they decided to be Buzz and Woody.

Sunday was actually Halloween. The boys were still Buzz & Woody. Daddy dressed up as Pooh Bear. I went as a witch because my blocks costume was a bit too bulky and made it difficult to pick up the kids. We did some trick or treating in Nonna and Poppi's neighborhood and then headed to the Halloween Carnival at the rec center. The rec center had boat rides in the pool, carnival games and bounce houses. The boys won candy and toys playing the games. (Kae was super excited when he won a pterodactyl.)
Happy Halloween!

Harvesting

About a week ago the boys and I made a trip out to Miller Farms to get veggies. When we got to the farm we quickly discovered that we did not bring enough warm clothes. So we went home, got more clothes, and headed back out to the farm.

Once we were bundled up enough we explored the farm before heading out to the fields. The boys fed the animals and Kae climbed the giant hay pile.

Then we got on a wagon being pulled by a tractor and headed out to the fields to pick lots and lots of veggies.
We picked popcorn and sweet corn.
Kae pulled up lots of potatoes and carrots.
Izee played in the dirt.
Each boy picked a couple cabbages. I had to get a pic of my cabbage patch kids. :)
The last field we went to was the pumpkin patch. Each boy picked out their own pumpkin.
We got back in the wagon and headed back to our car with our 4 bag of veggies. Yes, four bag of veggies.
The mark of any super fun outing:
