This summer we decided to go to our church's family camp instead of taking our own family camping trip. Instead of being about 20 minutes from home like last year, we were up in the mountains 3 hours from home (and 2 hours from cell phone service). Unfortunately about a month before the trip Andrew found out he had to go on a business trip that weekend. Since it was just me and the boys going we decided to stay in a cabin instead of a tent. We camped with about 80 other people from our church. It was so much fun!
The boys loved the cabin! They both got to sleep on a top bunk.
They also loved being up in the mountains. Being little boys, they did a lot of playing in the dirt.
And they got pretty dirty. Since they were camping they didn't want to take showers. (Last year's camping didn't have showers so now they assume being dirty is part of camping.) Since they wouldn't shower I wiped them each down instead.
That is a lot of dirt!
We had such a good time that we are planning to go again next year with Daddy.
